Nathan G. Moore House (1895, 1923) 333 Forest Avenue.. Nathan Moore, came to him with the commision for an expensive residence to be designed in the English Tudor style. With the depression at hand, a growing family, and just starting out on his own, Wright agreed, and delivered. The design featured high gables, half-timbering in the upper.

The house was built one block south of Wright's home and studio at 333 Forest Avenue in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, Illinois. It was originally completed in 1895 in the Tudor Revival style at the request of client Nathan Moore.

Born in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1853 to a minister and his wife, Nathan Grier Moore was, at various times in his life, a musician, inventor, writer, attorney, church elder and real estate expert. He was also of a mind to have a home built by Frank Lloyd Wright.
